| | From : | | • Allen Park | | Musical Style : | | • Of the seven performing members in Air Condo, six were songwriters. The bands original material was a direct reflection of their varied tastes and sensibilities. There was funk, R&B, jazz, progressive rock, romantic ballads, power pop and everything in between. | | Musical Influences : | | • Brecker Brothers, Crusaders, Allman Brothers, Steely Dan, Frank Zappa, Chicago (early), Average White Band, Earth Wind and Fire, Igor Stravinsky, William Shatner, Mahavishnu Orchestra, the Yes, King Crimson, John Williams, Gonzo and Floyd | | Brief Description : | | • Twenty plus years ago, Air Condo plied it's trade in Detroit area bars and created an impressive array of original music carefully preserved over the decades and brought to you today in glorious hi-fidelity stereophonic sound. | | Artist History : | | • Air Condo was formed in May of 1976 and played the circuit in Detroit and other Michigan venues for 4 years before disbanding in May of 1980. The band recorded over 20 original songs, many of which have survived to this day. In the years since the breakup the former members have gone on to bigger and better things playing with name acts such as Cheap Trick, the Temptations, Rick Springfield, Three Dog Night, Bob Seger and the Righteous Brothers. |

| | Press Reviews | | From Listen.com: "Juicy, full-bodied funk for folks who reflect fondly on the days when gigantic perms and bushy mustaches were sexy. Swinging guitar riffs and cool keyboard chords support lavish saxophone/brass harmonies and jazzy group vocals." | | Good things people say about Air Condo | | About damn time, waited 20 years to get my hands on something like this. I wore out my cassettes of the band, but I can still do the Air Condo Flynn. Hopefully this will lead to some more of the good stuff that Glenn has stashed away.
Is a reunion tour too much to hope for?

Paul, I've listened several times to What It Is and I love absolutely everything about it and you're great on bass. You guys are very good. Had a visit from Max Menius last week...he is my son...and he played it for me. He knows what I like. Wishing you the best, Sue Sides
