Full Description

For the studio version an extra tenor and baritone sax and a trumpet were added to beef up the Flames, Wayne and Bugs. A thumping bass/drum figure and stellar vocals from Kevin add up to a tune conducive to hearty partying.

I used to HATE Disco when I was a kid. How we grow up eh? It was when I started to have to play Funk when I learned to respect other bands other than Black sabbath.

This song is tighter than a can of sardines, expert Vocals, Playing (Who's that bass player!) and the meter is rock solid. Nice horns, very Chicago-ish!

I generally rate songs highly. This one fully earns the 10 I rate it.

How can you not like a band that features all of the ingredients that make music fun! A snappy rhythm section, a "horny" horn section, swanky guitars and a smooth sax. "What It Is" is plain old fun that would be a blast at any party, live show or outdoor gathering.
