The Original Site
ListenSmart.com launched in March 2000 as a portal where independent artists posted songs and listeners found them by genre, region, popularity and taste. These replicas rebuild its screens from the March 2000 business plan, label for label.
The replicas use the site’s own archived images (menu bar, buttons, backgrounds) and its original wording, typos included. Anything that needed the database (search, login, play, download, charts, posting, chat) is shown as plain text. Labels that lead to static content, such as Learn, Genres and Site Help, link to the matching pages on this site.
