The West Coast style has a look many call the thug or gangsta look. Gangs have received tremendous media attention since the early 90's and so as the fashions. The Blood and the Crips rivalry ignited in South Central Los Angeles, and so did the gangs colors. Both gangs are noted for wearing do rags, whether they are red for the Bloods, or blue for the Crips. Many West Coast rappers also wear the do rags. During the early 90's West Coast stars could also be identified with the wearing of L.A. Raiders hats and shirts. That has since gone out of style, and so has the Blood and Crips rivalry on in Los Angeles.
