Review:
Believe me when I say that I certainly am NOT much of a country music fan, but I absolutely LOVE this song!!! Incredibly clear melody and poingant lyrics make "Time to Begin Again" a winner for any music lover. Well done Brother Johnson. I'd love to hear more!

Lyrics
I could have been in any diner, at any old roadside
And I'm sure I'd still have met him, I guess it'd come my time
Just an old man sittin' next to me, smoking his last cigarette
And he told me that he lived a life that he lived to regret, he said
You know that you ain't really livin', when the little things no longer make you smile
I know you can't recapture your youth
If I was as young as you, here's what I'd do
If I had it all to do again
I'd of spent less time in a hurry, and more time makin' friends
I'd of told my kids love 'em, and that I was thinking of them
Because there ain't no time when your time ends
No time to begin again
Well the creases in his face made me think about my dad
And all the times he'd been replaced by friends and jobs I had
And in my quest to make him proud I took away his son
Well the old man may be lonely, but he ain't the only one
I realized that I wasn't really living, cause the little things no longer made me smile
I knew I couldn't recapture my youth
I'll take a moment or two, here's what I'll do
I've got it all to do again
I'm gonna spend less time in a hurry and more time making friends
I'm gonna tell my kids I love 'em, and that I'm thinking of them
Because there ain't no time when your time ends
No time to begin again
Look back to where you've been, the same place that you're standing in
And all the turns you missed along the way
I know the path you seek, it delivered me
All you do is turn around and here what I say
While you've got it all to do again
You better spend less time in a hurry and more time making friends
You better tell your kids you love 'em, and that you're thinking of them
Because there ain't no time when you're time ends
No time to begin again
