Welcome to the NEW MUSIC BUSINESS at ListenSmart.com. We invite you to join us and take advantage of the changing landscape brought about by the Internet. We have spent the last year developing methods for you to find music fans around the world that are likely to enjoy your specific music. We have also developed sophisticated ways in which you can nurture relationships with new fans. Finally, we have created a business plan that helps you to maximize the monetization (read: cash) of the relationship you will form with your new fans.

Beta vs. "Official Launch"

Our site is currently still in “Beta,” thus we have invited you to help us put on the finishing touches by providing feedback and offering suggestions. We would like the artists to help us build this new organization. When we “officially” launch within the next few weeks, we will be unveiling and activating our revolutionary new business model, one that will offer music publishing relationships to our “revenue sharing” artists as well as e-commerce opportunities for your music. Artist Fan Mail Manager We will encourage visitors to add their name and email address to your fan mail list. You can even send bulk mail using your fan mail manager.

Sophisticated Methods For Users To Find Your Music We will connect visitors to you and your music based on their CURRENT tastes. Look for the links that read “What Famous Bands/Artists/Songs Do You Like” for an example.

Gig, Concert, and Event Calendar Post announcements for upcoming concerts, gigs, broadcasts, webcasts, appearances, releases, and chats in our searchable event manager.

No Storage Limits We put no limits on how many MP3's you add to your portfolio.

Streaming Audio Radio-style streaming of all available songs throughout the site and on the individual artist page using RealAudio, Windows Media, and streaming MP3 (High & Low Bitrates).

OmniPost -- Have your music spread all over the Internet for you We believe the future is in your music being available everywhere. Thus, as a FREE service to our revenue sharing artists, we will upload and post your music and information on every MP3 and independent music site available. Are we crazy?! Yeah, crazy like a fox!

Active promotion of artists outside of ListenSmart.com Our revenue-sharing artists will be actively promoted to A&R reps, record labels, record producers, and companies needing music to synchronize to TV, film or video.

Sell your music online Create your own CDs online (including jewel box, cover art, & liners notes) for sale and keep a 50% royalty for each unit sold. Do you already have CDs produced? We can sell them for you through our e-commerce infrastructure for a mere 10% service charge. Finally, visitors can create their own custom compilation CDs that can include your songs, for which you will be paid your appropriate royalty.

Free Search Engine Submission We will submit your information to the top major search engines including Excite, Infoseek, Alta Vista, HotBot and more.
