Freestyle is probably the most unique and technically difficult form of rap. It's when someone doesn't memorize or read lyrics from off a piece of paper. They just make up the lyrics as they rap. This form of raps is usually used when people are just having fun in a group. Or when two rappers are challenging each other to see who can come up with the best lyrics off the top of their heads. Most people call it bringing it from off the top of the 'dome.' Canibus is one rapper who is known for his ability to freestyle rather than his ability to be a studio artist.
