Well I just drove right by your car
So now I finally know where you are
You didn't travel very far
I saw you drive up to her house
Was that the girl you couldn't live without
You know, this really is so hard
Oh, can't you tell me, won't you tell me
What it is that I did wrong?
What I did wrong
Of all the lovers I have had
Well, no one else has hurt me quite this bad
And I still don't know what made you mad
Oh, can't you tell me, won't you tell me
What it is that I did wrong?
What I did wrong
Or could it be that you can't think of anything
That I did wrong
What I did wrong
And will you ever try to heal this
Hole you've opened in my heart
You knew I'd never trust you again
Was that your way of keeping us apart?
So I just drove right by your car
'Cause it does no good to know how close you are
If there's no room left in your heart
Oh, can't you tell me, won't you tell me
What it is that I did wrong?
What I did wrong
Or could it be that you can't think of anything
That I did wrong
What I did wrong
Oh, can't you tell me, won't you tell me
Where it was that we went wrong
Or could it be that you can't see
Anything that you did wrong
What I did wrong
What you did wrong
What we did wrong

This was one of those classic situations
where you are trying to let go of someone,
but can't until you realize that you are
all alone in the relationship anyway. This
song has a great band feel, a wonderful
groove and beautiful vocals. Everyone has
had a relationship moment like this at some
point in their lives. |
