  Lyrics
MR. PIANO MAN He's up there on his pedestal playing along with the band Somehow he seems so all alone, Mr. Piano Man He appears in his own reverie, his fingers begin to speak Dancing across the blacks and whites Listening to his own inner beat (Refrain) Hey, Mr. Piano Man, won't you play a tune for me? Speak to me through your music, you do it so easily Oh I said, hey, Mr. Piano Man, when you tickle those ivories You fill the room up with a sound, it sure feels good to me His eyes pick out the notes to play, fingers begin to move His foot starts tappin' rythymically, he's gettin' in the groove A smile begins to cross his face as he joins in with the band We get a peak at the inner soul of Mr. Piano Man (Refrain) So when you next go to the club to listen to the band Take a look and you will find Mr. Piano Man He'll probably not see you there, won't even know your name But he'll put a smile upon your face and you'll be glad you came! (Refrain) (Repeat three times) (Fade) ©copyright 1997 Minnery Records International

  Full Description
As I was sitting in a cabaret class in New York, I kept looking over at the piano player who seemed to be in a world of his own and I immediately started to pen the words to this song. I went home after the class and completed the song in one evening
