Full Description

This is just another of my alter egos coming out in my music. I have always wanted to create a concerto for the violin in a more modern style. However, I currently do not posess the talent to create a full orchestral score as a backup, nor do I have the "test orchestra" to use in order to hear my piece as it is progressing (as if that makes any sense...). So, I opted for the next best thing: The electronic orchestra. Frankly, I'm surprised at how good the orchestral sounds on the Yamaha card really are. They are truely lifelike, though I do feel I can do more expressive work with woodwinds and brass next time (but being a string player myself, all one really needs is a string chamber orchestra, right? ;-)

Review:

I was just about to give up on this song due to the slow intro, but then it kicks in very nicely. Well orchestrated and the dynamics are very good. The instrumentation is good and the intertwining melodies are pretty cool.
