Lyrics

It figures - here you go again thinking way to deep - and it figures - that you can't let go even though you try it seems - it seems that you've mis-placed your trust along the way you worry everytime you think about life you wonder what it's meant to be- what it's meant to be really like what have you been doing are you doing it right? what will you be doing for the rest of your life? There you go again thinking way to your thinking way to deep There you go again - misery setting in - giving in to your defeat... what should your heart believe in should you try to live again just let emotions take you anywhere it wants to go your thinking that you've turned to stone so cold - so cold what happens if you turn around, turn your life around?

Review:

Defeat is one of Grace Overthrone's best songs, and reminds me a bit of Siouxsie and the Banshees. The lead singer has that edge in her voice that evokes a primitive and raw angst. The synth bass line in this song takes over rythm duties, the drums taking a backseat this time around -- but the combination works.

Wow- Now I get to see the other members of G/O. Notice how they are all wearing Sunglasses?

Lena is the Peter Murphy of Goth Female Vocalists- so many different inflections.

Every new song by G/O just gets better- that is not saying that the first songs that I heard were of any lesser value.

Get this!

Review:

This song is really cool. Very mysterious. Lena Grimm's voice has some cool reverb effects. I would love to hear some drums in this song and maybe a hard crunchy rhythm guitar. That would add to the cool mysterious sound.
