  Full Description
Fans have been waiting impatiently for the third and final part of Galbatron's Robotica saga for months... and finally it's there! Robotica (The Final Apocalypse) is the longest and most symphonic piece Galbatron has ever written. Writing the piece took 6 months. "We wanted to do something really different this time. Instead of trying to exceed Robotica (The Saga Continues) in the same style, we wanted to show that there's more to electronica than techno beats and synth leads... this time we've chosen a very different style to work in - it's more orchestral than electronic, but still, it was all done on synthesizers", says band member Eppo Schaap. Robotica 3 features over 100 tracks and more than 8 minutes of pure symphonic electronic music, starting with a moving intro and ending in a grand climax. On top of that, the song also features the famous Leusdome Apocalypse Choir. "As far as we know, this is one of the biggest productions ever launched on ListenSmart", says band member Loek. Robotica (The Final Apocalypse) is available for download now. Galbatron expects to be able to release the final version of their second album, Robotica, very soon. "We'll need to remix and remaster another two tracks or so, but that is a matter of weeks, not months", says Eppo. The last and final part of the Robotica trilogy is so huge that one Pentium II 350 Mhz computer is not enough to control all synthesizers used. "We had to link up several Pentium processors to be able to calculate all special effects real-time", says Eppo. Robotica (The Final Apocalypse) brings the total length of the Robotica symphony to more than 20 minutes.

Review:   This is what symphonic electronica is all about. Galabtron manages to accomplish what few of its contemporaries have: the creation of electronic music that sounds as though it really is a classical symphony. If a real orchestra played this song, it would translate very well, so well that it would not sound out of place along side the works of the old classical masters. This is not to say that this song is actually classical music, the desperate leads and soaring melodies could only be accomplished with modern technology. All in all, an excellent song. The intro is eerie and beautiful, followed by a complicated and powerful buildup, and ending with an astonishing choir. My only complaint is that it ends so soon... Highly recommended!

Review:   I've heard many of Galbatron's past tunes, all of which are very good. Today on the way to work I played this tune in my car. I'm not much for words, but here is what I will tell you. This tune ranks up there with compostions by John Williams, Danny Elfman, Vangelis. What a perfect, and I mean perfect song for a movie soundtrack!!!!!!!!

The production was clear and excellent, no boring parts. The begining was very beautiful and I loved that way it built up. What a tune, what a tune!

Review:   Electronic music is my favorite and Galbatron is the best of the best. Musically I have never heard better electronica; Robotica (The Final Apocalypse) is the cream of the crop. The themes are beautifully constructed and amazingly mixed to produce truly great music. Despite being radically different from the other songs in the trilogy "The Final Apocalypse" remains true to its roots. My only criticism is that for the snatches of theme in Robotica 3 to be effective one has to have heard the first two songs in the trilogy. This is not a bad thing in itself and as a matter of fact, the more I learned about the songs and the more I heard of them, the more I enjoyed them.
