Review:   Beautiful haunting melodies supported by lush acoustic instrumental arrangements. The singer appears to be taking cues from Marty Wilson Piper (The Church), which is a good thing.

  Lyrics
I got the news on a Tuesday, hit the streets Wednesday AM. was hoping for answers, but found no clues. and a voice just keeps ringing something about a cure. don't ask me why. so I picked up my pieces, tried to focus my heart, on another brave subject, so I could breath in, but the dream just keep coming, in color she's there. don't ask me why. WELL I GUESS SHE'S GONE HOME, TO A PLACE WHERE SHE FEELS SHE BELONGS, I REMEMBER HER SAYING, I DON'T WANT IT, I JUST NEED IT. DAMN YOU, DON'T ASK ME WHY. when I close my eyes, I see her walking down street. toward that blue motel, with the dark blue trim. and the happiest place on earth serves as her backdrop I see her wave with a final good-bye. don't ask me why, oh, don't ask me why. it starts feeling okay here sitting on my hands the pain is all gone, they're not there anymore I'm just sitting here staring past the phone nothing else to do...for you. with the Matterhorn in the distance, I turn and walk away. remembering what my friend said, Micky's clothes change today. so collect all the character, and store them away don't ask me why I got the news on a Tuesday, hit the streets Wednesday morn, I was looking for salvation, when I was hit by the door. I can still hear her saying, something about a cure. maybe that's why.

  Full Description
"There's a lot to like here. His voice is like an unlikely melding of Adam Duritz and Axl Rose, but in a good way. I like the 6/8 time. I like the vagueness of the subject matter- did the chick use heroin & die? What the hell is going on here? Some of the best pop lyrics are vague & inscrutable, so that repeated listenings never yield their meaning." and "I wasn't sure if this tune was catching me or not when it first started to roll. There was an uneasiness about the playing, singing... but the tune swells like the sea... seems calm then there's a roar and next thing you know you're coughing up saltwater half unconscious on a pile of shells. Armadillo Man seems to excell in the passion and this tune works best when it's most passionate... that's when it really knows who it is... and by the end, the lyrics have completed a circle, all the elements form a whole... very stream of consciousness. Compelling."
