Besonic allows Artists to charge for DLs but when someond does try to pay for a DL a msg. comes up that says this:

Sorry, but currently this option is not available.

After I started charging a measly 50 cents for DLs a month ago I got no DLs. I thought it was because no one wanted to pay for my songs. Now how would I know if they wanted to pay or not when they cannot do so? Now, one can't get on the T-40 with previews only. Two of my songs which were in the T-40 are now #338 & #247 on the Charts.

Before anyone says well man you don't know if you would have gotten any DLs, made any money or gotten more exposure it this shit worked like they lead you to believe it's spozed to because that isn't really the point. What if I was a wildy popular Artists there? Shut-up. I know I am not. I am really fucking pissed off now.

Guess we can add one more to the list of "Why you won't ever make money with music on the internet".

Bad technicians.

If it can be proven, which I don't know how, that this "option" was never operational, I feel that it may be a basis for a law suit on Besonic. I strongly suspect that this never was operational. Of course prving intent, that Besonic knew damn well it was never operational would be a tuffy. Sure, that is a wild spec. but hey, that is one way that I could now finally make some money from these shit OMDs. HAHA

It does appear that the most lucrative way to make money from OMD's is to sue them.

I like BeSonic, but I am not selling DL's. If you were putting serious effort into driving traffic to BeSonic to sell DL's, I can understand why you'd be angry.

I was right. This shit didn't work from the start & they damn well knew it. The explanation below proves it! A law suit would require more effort than it's really worth so I won't pursue it. No I never really expected much of a DL situation. It just pissed me off that they would offer it, knowing that it was not even possible for non- German Artists . No fuckin' respect for Artists, as usual.

sorry
Hi there,

we're terribly sorry - but we had (and still have) some problems with the custom cds. Because of the weekend it was much easier for our technical crew to disable the whole payment function, rather than specifiying it only to the shopping cart. Back on monday - the problem has been solved - so the paid downloads should be working by now.

Besides: We're currently looking for a way of payment for small fees like the paid downloads. There's a wonderful way of doing so, here in Germany (called paybox) - but there seems to be no alternative for the US or UK. That's why english or american people will not pay for charged downloads - not because they don't want to - but they can't at the moment. Artists referring to these countries as their major part of listeners - should maybe offer their songs for free. (just a timebased advice and my personal opinion).

Besides: Any idea of you or possible suggestion for the payment? Just write me a Mail.

Thanks
Caroline of BeSonic
