"Visionaries, hopefuls, hucksters, and self-described geeks mingled over the weekend at the first New York Music and Internet Expo, a convention held at the New Yorker Hotel. While web pages flickered on monitors and cellular phones beeped, musicians and computer entrepreneurs swapped business cards and ideas about how the Internet could revolutionize the music business. The people here all want something similar: creative control of their products and of their music...." – The New York Times

...how the Internet could revolutionize the music business....i think this has already happened.

Well, it doesn't say that all these people will actually be there. Just that they have been contacted on my behalf.

Gee, Kenny, for a guy who's usually so perceptive... Lolly is (at least nominally) a female of the species. In case you missed it, she was the one who came onto Ampcast and tried to get everyone to sign a petition for her to present to all the venues in Las Vegas and like that, demanding that they book one of her "artists". I was branded (by her) as "unprofessional" because I pointed out the absolute idiocy of her scheme. She (or one of her minions) tried another scam a while later trying to get people to pay to have their promo packages handed out at this expo. When we all greeted this with the hilarity it deserved (since Ampcast was already doing this for free there) she got all huffy and declared that she would never post there again. Wonder how long it'll take her to give up on this site too.

Ol' Unprofessional Dusty

Looks like she already has, dusty.

And how in the hell am I supposed to know if LOLLY is a man or a woman?

You know, dusty, a lot the people saying they are women on the internet are really, men.

Especially, the scam artists.

Father Time is both man and woman and a variety of animals, as it fits his needs.

Great name for a teen band from Sweden, maybe.

But metal? I don't know.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Tonight we present BLACK SABBATH, RATT, MOTLEY CRUE, and the new metal band POP LOLLY!"

Just does not sound Satanic enough, to me.

But maybe Satan has changed for the new millenium? I don't keep up with him.
