about the LS contract? I like the free licensing on demand - nice flexibility... I also like the revenue-sharing model - assures that I will be paid for the majority of my fans (who still download - no cable, very little ISDN/T1/ADSL in these parts) hitting my site... what about you? anything you like about the contract? ------------------ IP: Logged |

The free licensing policy isn't in the contract. That would be a nice addition, because as stated on the board, the policy is too ambiguous to protect either party. As a concept, I agree it's great. What I like the most is that this process is being allowed to happen. Sean isn't having his lawyers send me letters. Do you guys have any idea of the risk of liabiity I'm taking here? I'm VERY APPRECIATIVE, SEAN!!!! This was a 1st-draft contract. It has some rough edges, but the most controversial points seem to be there for business-model reasons. I believe we can deliver to LS the licensing powers they need to implement their business model by altering the particulars of the deal -- this can be a WIN-WIN, and that's what I always look for in ANY business deal. The Contract as it stands needs many alterations. I liked sins analogy. The only only thing I like about it, is that it was put forth. It requires major constructive surgery. Round 2. Waiting....... ------------------ IP: Logged |
