First, I'd like to thank everyone for your feedback on the publishing contracts thus far. We understand that absorbing and understanding a contract can be a challenging task. To recap, we'll be compiling all of the comments and questions and posting answers to these questions on the boards for the benefit of everyone to see. Answers to this first wave of feedback should be available by the end of this week. Rest assured, due to the significance of the contract, we do not plan to "rush" through the process. Rather, as Sean stated, we'll do our best to make sure every question is answered accurately and directly. In the mean time, we're seeking and encouraging as many artists as possible to comment on the contracts. Thanks again for your feedback. -Ben ------------------ IP: Logged |

Great news! I'll be sure to post the results of our attorney's eval here. Since even professionals are allowed to disagree on the finer points of legalese, hopefully a broad range of feedback will help all of us in the long run. RS ------------------ IP: Logged |

No problemo, Pete! BTW, please feel free to come on over to the MU discussion group and add your 2 bits to the debate. Votes are based on the sentiment of the voting population. If you want to make sure your POV is heard, no one can speak it better than you! musiciansunited-subscribe@egroups.com FWIW, my standing offer to all Art-To-Heart artists to be sponsored into MU as voting members on my dime still stands. So, it's really about interest, not collecting dues. I still listen to Benvindo all the time. RS ------------------ IP: Logged |
