When are you going to start showing the download stats. I show nothing on my page and there are no songs listed on any of the genre charts. At least I can't find any. Just wondering. I haven't checked mine. But I would guess the response would be it's part of the beta stage. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I have a sitemeter on my site and I have been getting about half the traffic that I did at Amp3. I am lucky to get one download a day though. Most days have been zero. Today I got two. At Amp3 during the weekdays I would normally get about fifteen to twenty downloads, sometimes more. On occasion twice that. I'm afraid the poor quality of the lo-fi streaming formats may be affecting downloads. I will be glad if/when they let us upload those as well. I know I can encode them with better results. On the other hand at Amp3 they had to download a song just to hear it as there was no prevue stream. Maybe they downloaded the song only to find they didn't want it. I'm sure it's part of the beta stage( what ever that is), I am wondering when? I have the same problem, I record a song get it sounding good, then I upload it, just too here it in "low fi" and go into shock. I have a slow connection, so low fi is all I can use. Hey guys: I havent run into any problems with the download stats. However I will look into it. I know the downloads are meager right now, but that will pick up once we 'officially' launch, and move the marketing into high gear. As far as the lofi stream go, sorry, but there is nothing that can be done about it. The upload is normally a 128k or higher file, and the lofi is in 24k. Thats the highest we can stream it at for those dial up people. In the near future (< 1 week) we will change the lofi and download to whatever you upload. Be that 128 or 256 or whatever, and that is what we will use to burn cd's. Let me know if this answers your questions. ------------------ syed IP: Logged |
