lets continue this on a second thread - I hate flipping pages...

In all seriousness - the foundation of any music company needs to be moving product - anything else and the model fails. I recall Mike Robertson stating that mp3c was a

- this was the death knell for mp3c - they lost focus, and in turn lost touch with the reality of the business they were trying to compete in...

oh!!! My particular favorite was

" We want to be your full service music provider " hehehehe right!

Now, will this site take steps to advertise its self as a INTERNET site beyond the " artist" world?????

The day they started takin "PAYOLA" from Platinum Records they lost "site" of the INDIE artists.

Dionne Warwick, who's freshly defunct Psychic Hotline went belly up, was the first.

That's a big question, because, now they got folks like Carmine Appice and D.R.I. on the site, which is cool, but Eagles? Comon, If I want to hear them I turn my radio on and in 5 minutes I get to hear an eagles song.

Ya can't hear carmine Appice on the radio, unless you find some college kid who is playin Beck Bogart and Appice on his 1 hour college show. You Might have been able to hear D.R.I. at one time on Tim Yohanan's (R.I.P) Maximum RockandRoll show on KPFA in Beserkley.

Really, Some of these bigwigs, probably would be ok to share a website with, but they should be given the same treatment as all of us, not the Payola Red carpet treatment.

And I am GLAD that this site is not moving in THAT direction.

Speakin' of green. I also, am working with "Skitzo" They have been on Howard Stern and Jerry Springer. They will be back on JS with Rob Zonbie & Gwar in July. Skitzo's Vox/Guitarist does something with green slime. Hence why he is getting some PR. Yeah, they play some wicked-ass Metal, too.
