| | From : | | • Atlanta | | Musical Style : | | • Etheral and haunting, sometimes silly, TOY proudly proclaims that they sound like 'everyone'. Always groovy, sometimes edgey, sometimes soft, one can hear references to Seal in their landmark song "Fly" and then over to Patty Larkin in their wacky song '1-3 (thirteen)'. Their current CD, Magic, contains these two songs as well as 30 second interludes which circle from early music choirs to creepy secret places inside and then back to the outerworldly far eastern mountains
TOY's current endeavors in the recording studio have been filled with leanings toward Lenny Kravitz, the Police, RadioHead, Stone Temple Pilots and Sade.

definitely not for children. And it's caused Alice some trouble.

| | Press Reviews | | ... A unique and musically compelling CD, Toy features 15 tracks, 2/3rds of which are sound bites and atmospheric music that each clock in at 30 seconds or less, and make way for the four songs that are featured on the disc. And the four songs are superb. Toy's sound is manic - within gorgeous/jazzy/pop/rock production and Lei's passionate and thoroughly believable vocal delivery. ... The musical arrangement of "Fly" is brilliant - ... taking turns with the voicings - ingenious and something | | Good things people say about toy | | WV Huntington WMul heavy rotation !
