Good things people say about Ric Bonnell
I don't want to give away my age, but after nearly 3 decades of listening to popular music, I've never heard anything as unique as Ric Bonnell's "Into You." This is lush and peaceful alterna-pop that you really need to take a moment to listen to. Opening with a Spanish guitar flourish, the song quickly evolves into a synth-driven song built to feature Bonnell's crystalline voice. Listening to Bonnell sing, you'd believe he could cut glass with that voice, it's so pure and clear. If I find any fault at all with this song, it's in the lyrics, which border on being pretentious: "Buttercups and butterflies, Summer breezes blowing free, This feeling’s in the air, My karma comforts me." No matter, the lyrics fit the song's pace and suit Bonnell's vocal style. The production is right up there with the majors too. -Doug Cornell AMP3.com
